學校簡介
HKA is a non-profit, international school enrolling 500+ students from over 40 nationalities. Founded on the belief that all children bring a unique set of talents and strengths to their learning, HKA provides a highly personalised, student-centred programme that encourages every individual to fulfil their greatest potential.
As one of only eight fully-authorised three-programme International Baccalaureate (IB) World Schools in Hong Kong, HKA offers the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. Through an inquiry-based and conceptually-driven curriculum, students hone the competencies, knowledge and skills they need today that also prepare them for the future. They develop as global and digital citizens, learning how to use a range of technologies to build understanding and communicate thinking.
HKA offers multiple credentials to its graduates, each of which supports successful post-secondary study worldwide. All graduates earn the credit-based HKA Diploma and portfolio-based Global Citizen Diploma certificate, and over 90% pursue the full IB Diploma or IB courses. HKA alumni gain entrance into competitive universities around the globe, where they pursue degrees and go on to work in fields such as architecture, mathematics, veterinary medicine, child psychology and international business.
The school’s purpose-built campus boasts a professional grade theatre and visual art studios, outdoor playscapes and sports pitches, and multiple science and design labs in which STEM projects come to life. The facility’s eco-friendly construction and sustainable operating practices are recognised by the Green Building Council of Hong Kong and HKA was awarded Gold BEAM status in October 2020. Beyond the classroom, students can select from over 100 co-curricular options, encouraging them to pursue their interests and contribute to their communities. HKA competes in both local and regional sports leagues and is a member of the International Schools Theatre Association of Performing Arts (ISTA), Hong Kong.
